Help Oil Cooler Linesoscales 09-09-2009, 01:13 PM Ok guys, an act of a complete novice. While attempting to replace my oil pan gasket I noticed that my oil cooler lines where soaked with oil and dirt. Being the ever adventureous I removed the lines from the radiator and oil cooler to inspect. Not know the cause of the leak I purchase new ones from NAPA(oring culprit):shakehead. Long story short I didn't mark the locations for the reconnect, can anyone tell me where the inlet and outlet hose connect to radiator from the oil cooler(can't upload pic). Thanks Novice:runaround: j cAT 09-09-2009, 02:23 PM Ok guys, an act of a complete novice. Thanks Novice:runaround: the engine oil cooler of the radiator is nothing but a line with no direction specific connection... connect the lines so that they run to from radiator in a way that they don't cross each other or chaffe into other parts.. oscales 09-09-2009, 07:39 PM Thanks for the info. The inlet and outlet on the Oil Cooler itself had me concerned about the line conncections. Arrowshooter 09-09-2009, 07:48 PM The long hose goes to both top fittings and the short on goes to bottom. If you have the quick disconnect fittings, I would replace those too as they house the seal. Should take a 1" socket. oscales 09-09-2009, 08:44 PM Thanks for the insight. New hoses were purchased and came with new quick cons and clips, however I didn't get new fittings, I may use the old ones which seem to be in good order. Thanks for the assitance guys this has given me grief for a couple of days. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2013
