The black panel on the top of the back hatch of my 94 transport has become quite rusted and bubbly and I just can't have that. Do you know of any direct sites or places where I can get a new or at least rustless one?

I doubt you'll find new. Try some of the salvage yards in your area, or check out www.car-part.com. You enter your vehicle info and the part you are looking for and it searches it's database of salvage yards and list results of those yards that show the part in their inventory. Most of the listing have condition, price and many times color. There is also contact info for the business and whether or not they ship parts out. You can even tailor the results to yards closer to where you live to save on shipping costs or to pick it up yourself.

Your pictures are not showing up on my computer. I checked your post and saw there should be a few of them but none of them are showing up.

I tried looking quickly around the Internet for a picture of the back end of the van but had no luck with Google Images, or eBay. Perhaps the piece is some sort of trim piece or moulding?
If you went to that site I listed in my first post and found a salvage yard that had one of the vans, perhaps if you called and described the part you were looking for , they might have one? Another option would be to go to your local Pontiac dealer's parts department and see if they have and parts breakdown or pictures with part numbers or descriptions for that year and model. Some dealers have "exploded view" pictures with the part description and corresponding part number. They probably no longer carry the part or can get one, but at least you might come away from there with the part's proper name and GM part number. That alone could help you in your search.

EDIT: ...ahh OK now, I see your picture..... Mine is same color as car, not black..black on mine just goes the length of front doors. I do have some discoloration above driver door. I consider spray painting.....

That panel, as any other panel on my car is made of plastic! Are you sure the panel on your car is rusted? I have a 1995 model. The panel is the same color as the car (white).

I can see the picture now. Like another said, it doesn't appear to be rust as most of the panels were plastic/composite. GM has had issues in the '90s with the coloring coming off their trim pieces ( along with the infamous paint peeling on the bodies of certain vehicle models.) Have you considered repainting it?
