I am working on a friends 01 Sante Fe it had a code for the Front Converter. So i replaced it and noticed the bottom 1/2 of it was broken out does this usually just blow back and plug the 2nd also? It still runs like the exhaust is plugged. It's a V-6 also Thanks

It is possible. Are you sure you replaced the correct converter? There is 1 on each bank of the motor.

Will check code again but this one was partially gone and looked melted when looking up the outlet side.

It's quite possible it took out the rear converter as well. Don't see them go bad on Hyundai's that often. More on Suzuki's. Have also seen both upper converters go out on a Suzuki V6 or I6 at the same time before too.
