1994 GMC Sub C10 2WD 1/2 ton automatic, dual AC.

Last week I was on a wild goose chase for a 1994 Sub. EGR valve, of course there were several versions listed.

So today on a trip to Tucson the oil pressure gauge appparently malfunctioned, sounds like the sending unit (made return trip fine, towing, so I doubt it's an oil pressure problem). I tried looking this up on the Internet but again parts confusion. Most were for the warning light sensor near the distributor that has three terminals and also provides power to the fuel pump relay. So apparently I'll (as usual) need to pull off the sender, and take it in my hands to the parts store and hope to match it up.

I had similar with a '88 Sub years ago, factory manual from GM actually had it screwed up, said the sender for the gauge was near the distributor (of course that was for idiot light), parts stores kept giving me the gauge sender but it didn't match), never mentioned that the sender I needed was actually down near the oil filter. So in that case the parts guys were right, my manual was wrong, and I believed the manual, big mistake.

I guess this is just a GM thing.
