ok, , so here's what happen that led me to rebuild my engine...

Bought a 00 Coupe Ex M/T from carmax w/ 56k. I took really good care of it and it NEVER gave me any problem until... 112k, MY FAULT, I neglected it completely and didn't change my oil in 9k. Finally got to it when it was knockin. Changed the oil and only 2 quarts came out, blablabla. Didn't think I spun a bearing so I bought a new y8 head, skunk2 IM, and a few other small things.

At this time I knew way less than I know know so I took it to a mechanic. They tell me I spun a bearing and need to rebuild or 'buy a used one from the junkyard". I chose the latter, paid 1k in labor and was on the road for only 5-7k till it started knockin again. Bearings! Geezzzz... Is it me?

Anyways so that led me to build my block. Remember my head is fairly new... So I got the block cleaned, honed, decked, oil pan sand blasted as well, the crank turned and balanced and bought:

Ealgle Rods
CP Pistons stock bore HC, Polydyn coated
ACL Race Rod and ACL Duraglide Main bearings (size issues)
KMS Block Guard
ARP Head stud kit
Honda rear mail seal
Honda oil pan gasket
Oil pump/Water pump

Then I was like "shit I'm goin with all this, I need more to have it complete and not a half-ass job" so I also got:

Fidanza flywheel
ARP flywheel bolts
Exedy Stage 1 clutch (i know, I know....)
NGK Spark plugs and ngk wires
Cometic HG

While still doing reserach I found out I need to tune my car. Oh crap, more money.... http://www.d-series.org/forums/images/smilie/icon_sad.gif but I'm not gonna cheap out now so I got:

Hondata S100 , its not the best but it does the job for me! and I trust them.
P28 M/T VTEC still need to install the S100
Walbro 255lph
AEM FPR + eBay gauge

and a few more for the kicks and some essentials I thru in:

2-row Al radiator + 12" thin fan. It's exactly like a Mishimoto but its an eBay1
2.5" catback and a test pipe (both eBay)
Honda thermostat
OEM Honda (mitsubishi) alternator
Denso Idle air control valve
Skunk2 cam gear
Aluminum eBay crank pulley (not bought yet, havent decided)
3" eBay cold air intake w/ K&N filter

My original tranny will be used but it grinds in 3rd. I dont know anything about transmissions. I figure it's still good for me to get my car runin. I didnt cheap out and that means I've been w/o my car for months already. So now that I have everything I can start. I know I could have started alot sooner but ADD me, left the bearings as one of the very last things to buy... they havent even arrived yet.

So I'll probably start tomorrow with the pistons and rings and rods and post any update. Oh, I find it kinda pointless to post pics of all those parts but I do have'em if you wanna see any, just lmk
