Longtail Brochure.murraydeschot 08-31-2009, 06:10 PM I believe this is the rarest of any F1 brochure produced. Any ideas as to current market value? mini magic 08-31-2009, 06:24 PM Gt? Peloton25 08-31-2009, 07:14 PM There have been two recently on Ebay from the same seller that were apparently both in mint condition. The first auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190320008214) ended July 14th at $1662/£1,019.00 and the second one (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190330188976) finished August 29th at $615/£377. Seems the second buyer got a significantly better deal, wouldn't you say? :iceslolan As for current values - I don't know how you could qualify it with such a large difference in seemingly identical items over such a short period of time. The one I purchased several years ago I got for less than the price of the second auction, but its previous owner had paid nearly three times my price, or almost what this first auction ended at when he had acquired it. I know this only because he shared a printout of that auction with me when he mailed the brochure. I already knew I was getting a great deal at the time, but felt bad that he had sold it for such a loss. >8^) ER F1 monster 08-31-2009, 08:56 PM I sold one for $500 a couple of years ago. I was fine with that, and I am sure the buyer thought he got a very good deal. Market value doesn't mean much when there are such few data points and the item is rare...you offer what you can or what you want to, and the seller takes what he is happy with, or what he needs. dbsf1 09-01-2009, 12:46 AM if anyone's selling one, let me know! peace hurstg01 09-01-2009, 03:55 AM I was watching those 2 latest auctions, coincidentally both sold by the same person - over £1k for a 16 page booklet :screwy: but it's only worth what you are willing to pay for it. Suffice to say, my bid was less than half what the 2nd booklet went for. F1 monster 09-01-2009, 11:19 AM Hurst, it's worth a tenner, no more. It's just a marketing brochure with pictures and text. Don't really know what the big deal is, except I guess it's somewhat rare and the subject matter is very interesting to some of us. But 1600 gbp? You'd have to be nuts. Maybe the auction was rigged to help the sale of the second one--it sounds fishy to me. Incidentally, I have the whole thing scanned in. You want? :-) Sami Aaltonen 09-01-2009, 02:48 PM Hurst, it's worth a tenner, no more. It's just a marketing brochure with pictures and text. As for the auction seeming odd, yes, especially when the seller linked to his first 'sale' showing the £1019 sale price, in a failed attempt to get the 2nd listing to match / get near to that price Le Man 09-01-2009, 04:51 PM Colin Curwood, the brochures photographer sold two or three copies a while ago on ebay around the £120 mark, with the monies going to charity. I think this seller is just price bumping, no doubt he still has them. I paid £12.50 for mine and no its not for sale :) (well, if someone wishes to cough up £1000 its their,s ) BTW it is not a rare brochure, as some people might think!! Its more of a picture book than a technical sales brochure, but very nice none the less. dbsf1 09-01-2009, 05:30 PM Incidentally, I have the whole thing scanned in. You want? :-) I would also greatly appreciate scans of the brochure for the coolest version of the coolest car ever made, if this is possible :iceslolan Thankyou! Peloton25 09-01-2009, 07:42 PM F1 monster - if you send me the scans I have a place to host them where everyone can grab them with very little pain or frustration. :) >8^) ER murraydeschot 09-02-2009, 09:38 AM Colin Curwood, the brochures photographer. I'll figure out if it is easier to host them as individual images, or probably more likely in a package deal via MediaFire when I get to them. Thanks! >8^) ER Peloton25 09-14-2009, 02:11 AM I grabbed the files Friday night as planned and after viewing them had every intention of cropping them and trying to clean them up a bit. However, this weekend ended up being a fairly busy one for me and I haven't had time to even get started. Rather than keep everyone else waiting, I'll just share them as-is for now since I know many will be salivating over them regardless. I've used MediaFire to host a .ZIP with the 36 files contained inside. It is 17MB in total size and you should be able to download it without any troubles. I was getting about 500KB/sec when I tested it. Let me know if you have any difficulties with it. GT Brochure Scans (http://www.mediafire.com/?2y3m2ttneft) All thanks go to F1 Monster for producing these. :) >8^) ER murraydeschot 09-14-2009, 07:16 AM Thank you, Erik and F1 Monster! More pages than I'd anticipated. hurstg01 09-14-2009, 12:46 PM very  webslinger283 09-16-2009, 05:58 PM incredably awesome!
