This is for all of you who are having instrument and/or starting issues and want to repair cracked solder joints on the instrument cluster circuit board.

Several have PMd me in the last months asking what happened to a very helpful slideshow put together by 98T&C (on another forum) that shows in detail how to take the dash apart to gain access to and repair the instrument cluster. DON"T FORGET TO DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY LEAD TO DISABLE THE AIR BAGS BEFORE STARTING THIS REMOVAL.
