just replaced dash know truck won't rundamdash 08-29-2009, 08:21 PM I have a 98 yukon 5.7l. I replaced the dash in it yesterday. Now it will turn over but will not stay running. I am 99.9 % positive that i plugged all my wires back in except i did miss the passenger side airbag but will do tommorrow. Also did not do the driver airbag to make sure everything was ok but hince i did have a problem. If i may have missed a wire, what could be causing it not to run? What else could it be? damdash 09-04-2009, 09:42 PM to add to this, in the process of getting clearance around the steering column i disconnected the wire(3 pin directly in the top) on the key cylinder and plugged it back in. Could this affect starting? damdash 09-20-2009, 01:13 AM the security light does not come on at all. Not when trying to start or when in the on position. can someone help? How or why is the light not coming on? drichter55 10-10-2009, 07:38 PM Hate to break this to you but chances are you have missed a connection somewhere ive had that styl eof dash out before and there are several connectors and i too missed one, i even took the dash out checked everything over and still missed it again, also did you remove the dash without unhooking the battery? if so you will need to unhook it and let the control systems reset. damdash 10-13-2009, 08:25 PM This is where i'm at now: replaced fuel pump and spark plugs per say of a mechanic. After replacing still no start. Took a gas soaked rag and put in the throttle body and put the cover back on and vehicle started and ran for about 5 seconds. We did this twice. Now mechanic is stating to change injectors. While i am again doubting his decision i am leaning more towards the icm. Any feedback is apreciated. damdash 10-31-2009, 05:46 PM well after spending about 150 dollars on a mechanics quess, a shop close by confirmed it to be the security. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
