If I am not mistaken (this happens a lot, mind you), those "holes" are actually supposed to be turn signal indicators. My friend at work has a Chrysler 300 of that vintage with indicators on the fenders and I've seen those indicators as a trend on a lot of Dodge/AMC/Chrysler cars of that era.

Your paint looks great and the decal application as well. I can't wait to see what you accomplish with this horrible model! (sorry, I've built a few of these and know what a crappy model it is with it's inaccuracies and design flaws)

This is the best I could find. These are the signals you thought are vents.

Looking good so far. Paint is really shiny. I made one of these without the decals. I know the problems with the kit, the rear window is for the Charger 500 not the regular Charger that the Dukes of Hazzard used but you can get a reasonable result as the shape is generally good. My brother Viccario put a thread on for mine for me before I got on the web. The link follows:

Looks like Luke's also wearing disco hot pants (maybe he borrowed them from Daisy?!)

Seriously though, good result on what i know is a tough kit to make look good.

actually believe it or not as far as i know there is no accurate kit out there!
cause the real general lee is suppose to be a race car as in... doors welded shut, no door handle, 426 hemi, driver seat only ... no passanger seats!!!, etc...
i also posted a link here at af under the dodge charger section more about the car!!!
ill get a link up later for you guys of a thing i found on the internet years ago about the general lee!
