95 contour 2.0 zetech auto tranny has intermittent bucking and kicking. Sometimes acts like its been thrown in neutral and up and down shifting between gears. I am no transmission guy, but I hooked the brick up to it anyway and come up with these codes

335 code def not available
332 EGR not opening
461 code def not available
668 transmission range sensor circuit high

Of course common sense says go with the tranny code but can someone tell me if this code means change tranny or what.

It's the tranny code that's making it jump around in gears slamming up and down.

668 is like you say--Transmission range circuit voltage above maximum.

You need a new transmission range sensor. It's on top of the tranny underneath the shift cable where it hooks up with the tranny. It's a dealer item about $50. The TRS tells the ECU what gear you are in and will cause erratic shifting if it is bad. It's a tight fit to get a wrench in there , but it can be done. Just take the 2 bolts out and pop it out with a screwdriver next to the shaft.

Code 335 is PFE (Pressure Feedback EGR) sensor voltage out of range. Replace the PFE sensor.
Code 332 is Insufficient flow EGR.
Code 461 is Fuel level sender voltage high. Is you fuel gauge off?

The Haynes manual for 95 Contour tells in detail how to change and adjust the TRS. It's a good manual and well worth the money for no more than it costs.
