Holy crap, $2720 just for the wheels?? That's insane man, but if you really like them that much and have the money, then go for it. They are nice, but a bit too agressive for my taste. Here's the 2 I'm considering...

if you're going to shell out $2750 for a set of wheels i've never even heard of, why not look around and find a set of good condition second hand Advans or Skyline wheels? i saw someone selling a set of Advan Generation 2's for $900 somewhere...and a set of R33's for like $1200.

well since everyone like those rims here, then ima have to go ahead and be the contradiction, its true though i dont really like them very much , plus on top of that the preice 2750! and they do look heave, for that i would go for something like the racing hearts gunmetal ones i don tknow what they are really called or if thats just it lol well w/e everyone here seems to like them so i guess u shouldnt let my vote change ur mind, but honestly that just isnt my taste :-D

Ive also been looking for som R33 rims with no luck. but im still working on my suspention ATM so no rims for a while!!! HEY if its heavy who gives a SHIT get MORE POWER!!!!

just baught some ST sway bars... not as EZ as i though they were to install :cry: and im upgrading my brakes this weekend i hope hehe...

my 2 cents:
personally, i wouldn't buy those wheels even if they were reasonably priced. they look good and all, but i've developed a strong dislike for 5-spoke wheel patterns. it's become trendy in my mind, way too many people getting wheels with a 5-spoke pattern. it's just about all i see these days and im sick of it. i don't know if it's the same where you guys live, but that's how it is here.

5 spoke rims are not necessarily trendy, as the 5 spoke design is classic, and has been used over and over, and looks great.

those wheels could be lighter than you think, so don't judge too much...

on a 240 (s14, s15, whatever)
i think that a 5 spoke lends a great look, though the 3 bar advan's above look good too..

i don't like the 5 spoke b/c it's trendy, but simply b/c it looks great...

the ones on the nsx are great too...

5 spokes are simple, conservative (if done right) and classy...

3 is simple, but sticks out... anything more gets a little complicated, and makes you see the wheel instead of the car..

the wheels should complement the car, and most (****most, i said****) complement the overall picture, instead of "seeing the forest for the trees (wheels being the trees here), and missing the big picture"

just my thoughts on the topic...

Hey thanks for the thoughts flylwsi... ya i'm a fan of the 5spoke rims some alot of them are ugly, but if it resembles the one i posted thats the style i like. But around here we mostly see the mesh rims not many 5spoke i dont atleast :D :D

buy the AVS Model 5's dude. i friggin love those wheels.

you guys make some good points about 5-spoke wheels, but i kind of have an obsession for standing out, even if it means resorting to overkill.

what do you guys think about these?

Black Racing's are knock-offs of Advan RG's, but they're GOOD knock offs. most knock-offs are heavier or lack the quality of the original, but Black Racing isn't too far behind Advan in terms of quality. it's a good wheel.

Personally, I'm a fan of many of the Volk Racing rims. Most of them look spectacular. I really dig the GT-Ns. A little flashier than 5-spokes but still great looking. As for 5-spoke wheels, I do enjoy them a lot. They look great, but they do seem a little trendy. I can't really stand those tri-spokes. Look too strange for me, but that's just my opinion. The ones that you found were pretty good looking, but with that kind of money I'd go with some Volks. Skyline rims are a good idea too.

I was concidering the velox ones but they only come in 19" and that is WAY!!! too big for my taste heh. im thinking of getting the ADV model 5's if i can find some 17's it'd be perfect!!! WHOO HOO!!! :D :D

at least you have a 240SX. i have barely any money and there's no decently priced 240SX's around here, i've been DIEING to get one for almost 2 years now...

If you were down here in Kansas you would have much better luck finding a good 240sx for a descent price.
I've seen mostly women driving fastback 240's here.
Plenty of parts in salvage yards here(except for a passenger side front fender...)for 240's.

I saw a lady with all her laundry in her 240 driving down the street once upon a time...

it just got a whole lot worse. i visited my lawyer today regarding the blasphemous ticket i received (for those of you that don't know about this, check out my thread "A Cop Is An Idiot" in the Stress Release forum). it turns out that, in order to fight the ticket in court, i have to pay $1000 out of my pocket for the legal fees. and that's just to FIGHT it. there's no promise that it will be dismissed yet. if we lose the case, i get my $1000 back, but it doesn't matter because alot worse things will happen.

1)$325 fine
2)i have to go to the police chief and explain why they shouldn't take my license away.
3)since it was such a high fine, they'll probably take it away for 6 months anyways.
4)my insurance rates will quadruple from $700 a year to $3000 a year for 5 years.

it's worth the $1000 to fight the ticket and possibly (80% likely) get it dismissed, but it's still $1000 out of my pocket. :mad: a 240SX is farther away then ever now.

Brian doesnt even own a 240, yet he's STILL arguably one of the most knowledgable people here....
