I am getting a roaring noise from the wheel area on the front passenger side when traveling a higher speeds (70mph). Sounds like a wheel bearing problem but not sure. Any ideas? Anything I should look at first? If it is the wheel bearings, how difficult would they be to change? This is a 2 wheel drive.
thanks for your input.

Welcome to the forum!

One thing you could try is to move the passenger front tire to another location and see if the noise follows the tire. You might have a separated belt or other tire issue causing the noise.

i have a 2002 ford explorer xlt 4x4 but the 4x4 does not work i think it is the 4x4 cm but anyway
we had a roaring noise at about 45 mph going straight and it got louder when we turned to the right.so we replaced the front passanger side wheel bearing and that did not fix it same noise so we replaced the driver side wheel bearing and that fixed the problem i hope this helps
