SAMSUNG-SGH-I617/1.0 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.6) Stealthee 08-21-2009, 04:09 PM if you want to go wider you could do 255/45/17 They will be slightly taller than stock though. I wouldnt go any wider than that on a 8" wide wheel though. As for brands I had some Kuhmo ASX's. Great tire for the money. quackmandude 08-21-2009, 04:26 PM really? im getting a new set soon, im debating the kumhos or the fuzions, i love the fuzions i have now SAMSUNG-SGH-I617/1.0 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.6) Blackcrow64 08-21-2009, 06:51 PM I run the Fuzions on my Talon and I really like em a lot. Definitely will be gettin another set whenever this one wears out. (If the car is ever on the road again.) AutostradaVR4 08-21-2009, 07:17 PM 255-45ZR17s on 17x9 wheels Tires are BFGoodrich G-Force Sport's...and i dont care for them. I'll be going back to Goodyear or trying some Bridgestones when these are done. vr4choke 08-21-2009, 11:38 PM 245 45 17 eagle f1's! i wouldnt use any other tire. they're expensive as fuck but totally worth it. rated up to 186 mph! i totally drive that fast everywhere i go :smokin: AutostradaVR4 08-21-2009, 11:55 PM ^thats what i had before i bought the BFGs, I loved them as well. Great tires. quackmandude 08-22-2009, 12:06 AM hmm how much they run u? SAMSUNG-SGH-I617/1.0 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.6) vr4choke 08-22-2009, 02:40 AM Hmmmmmmmm I dont remember exactly but they were close to $200 each AutostradaVR4 08-22-2009, 07:53 AM tirerack.com is prolly ur best bet quackmandude 08-22-2009, 11:24 AM yup they r 198 each...and thats our price at the shop. theyve prolly gone up....everything has lol SAMSUNG-SGH-I617/1.0 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.6) Polygon 08-22-2009, 11:16 PM I'm running 17x9 5Zigen FN01R-Cs wrapped with Falken Azeni 615s sized 255/40. http://www.synapsepc.com/Hosting/CarDomain/Stealth/Images/Page%203/Falken.jpg Also, Tire Rack is having a closeout sale on the Hankook Ventus R-S2. I'd say it's a pretty good deal. Priced out 225/45 17s for my other car and they were only $76. Stealthee 08-23-2009, 12:15 AM I saw that and would jump on that as I need tires but I prefer all seasons simply because I drive the car year round and don't want to get stuck because of having summer tires on. Polygon 08-23-2009, 12:21 AM Yeah, it's really tempting to me for the other car. I wonder how they stack up against the 615s. EDIT: Just bought them for the other car. Only $358 for four 225/45 17s. quackmandude 08-25-2009, 01:21 PM could i run a 255 40 17 on an 8 inch wheel? or is there a chance to mess the bead up? SAMSUNG-SGH-I617/1.0 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.6) Stealthee 08-25-2009, 02:46 PM 255/40/17 is 3/4 of an inch shorter than stock. I wouldnt do it. VR43000GT 08-25-2009, 02:51 PM 255/40/17 is 3/4 of an inch shorter than stock. I wouldnt do it. Don't you mean 255/40/17 is wider by 3/4 of an inch than the stockers? quackmandude 08-25-2009, 04:02 PM its wider and ahair shorter, i dont think that much shorter but i dunno. the first number is width, and the second is the ratio of sidewall height and tire width, its gonna shorter but my question is the width gonna be an issue with an 8 inch rim SAMSUNG-SGH-I617/1.0 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.6) quackmandude 08-25-2009, 04:23 PM ok the 255 45s r to tall, im gonna try the 40s. now that i look a them the 40s should be really cloe to the same height SAMSUNG-SGH-I617/1.0 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.6) Stealthee 08-25-2009, 08:50 PM No 255/40's are 3/4 of an inch SHORTER, do the math. ;) They are 10 mm wider which is about 3/8 of an inch. quackman do not run 255/40's you will severely throw off your speedo. Run the 255/45's if you insist on the extra width. It will only be .3 inches taller. EDIT. The 255/40's are only 25" tall. The 255/45's are 26" tall. Stock 245/45 are 25.7" tall. Ok I completely misread your post. I thought we were talking about the width of the tire for some reason (I did have a few cocktails last night :runaround:) and thought you were saying the 255's are skinnier (somehow replaced that in my mind for shorter) than the 245's. I need a nap. :frown: Polygon 08-26-2009, 04:56 PM I run 255/40s my TT. However, I have a 9" wheel. Personally, I wouldn't run a 255 on an 8" wheel but you can. quackmandude 08-26-2009, 05:09 PM im gonna find a used 255 40 and give it a whirl on on of my rims before i order a set SAMSUNG-SGH-I617/1.0 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.6) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
