door code

i know the door code number . but it will not work. i remember trying a code like 1234 or 0000 to like reset it. and then the code worked again , but i just cant remember the numbers. does this make any sense.to you. Thanks

You won't be able to reset the code with a code other than the original code for the car. There is not a "master" code that works with all Fords. The owner can set a personalized code, with the original code will still continue to work. Maybe the code you remember is the personalized code which has for some reason been erased. You will need the original code to store a new personalized code. And the code will be 5 digits in length. The location of the Remote Anti-theft Personality (RAP) varies by model year, you can search the forum for the location of the module in your particular model year.
