i went outside to start up the cutty and it wouldnt start, so i jumped it with another car, took off the cables and let it run for a minute. i turned the car off and tried to restart but it wouldnt again. it it the battery? or maybe my alarm? im totally clueless right now?

prolly your battery.

It could be your battery. You can try it and if that does not work. I would have to say you need a new alternator. If that went out your battery is not recharging.
