Camaro -98 rear axle

Hi,
I'm repairing -98 Camaro, which has been in accident. Right rear axle tube has came out few millimeters from 'banjo' and rotated few degrees.
Are these axle tubes welded to 'banjo' or are they just pressed there? I tried to look but can't see any welding joints there..?
Is there any way to press it back or should I replace rear axle?
When I drive this car, it runs good, no noise from rear end...

Are you completely sure the axle is the problem?........ there are two brackets that hold the axcle in place they also keep it centered. If the car got hit from the side or it hit a curve, then probably one of those supports got bent and it looks like the axle is bent when in fact are the supports.

I guess car got a hit to wheel from back. Axle tube was rotated and it has came out few mm from 'banjo'.
Last night I pressed axle tube back to 'banjo' and rotated it and it seems that it is now in correct place... I still wonder why it has not been welded in factory.??? There is a hole in 'banjo' where welding should be, but it has never welded...
Anyway I have to weld it. Only problem is how do I measure that tube is in right place before doing that..?
