1996 Jetta, 2.0 engine, 4 cyl. was overheating..fans not working, had a direct fan switch from battery put in and thermostat put correctly in. Now it only overheats at over 45mph but I never loose any coolent. The temperture light goes on, gauge all the way up, when I get off highway, slowing down and at idle, light goes off and gauge back to normal. Had a coolent temperture senser put in, still same. Radiator is uniformly hot after warming, thought maybe clog? No one can figure how I overheat and never lose coolant :frown: Would appreciate your thoughts, thanks!

Yes it does make a difference. When it comes to VW's go OEM.
