Hi Guys

I have a 96 escort lx

Is it possible to replace the air intake system to one from the 2.0L 1997 escorts and above? Would it be a striaght exchange with out any issues or problems occuring? would it increase and performance or air getting into the engine?

Thanks,

Chris

I would wonder if the mass air flow sensor on the later car would have the same characteristics as the one on your car now. If they didnt, it would be running the car too rich or too lean part of the time.

I doubt you would have a squeaky clean change over, but it should be doable.
I don't think you have much to gain from doing it though.
