I was wondering what you guys think of these people. I was thniking about getting the Primera motor from them and the tech on the phone sounds like he knows his shit. I was just wondering if anybody has any experience with them or a friend that does?? Is this a good place to get a motor from cause it sounds like it is....any feedback would be great thanks...:D

Yes, Chris really knows the SR20. He is probably the best in the country for DET swaps, even into 1.6 cars.

He's well thought of by the SE-R community.

gotta love those afternoon naps. i need one, but i'm still at school (damn!). nobody naps in this country. if you go to europe (not sure about asia or latin america or you NZer's) everybody naps. it's gotta be one of the best things.

Close. The one in SCC belongs to Chris "Shaggy" (can't remember his last name). Chris "Big Head" Parker owns SR20 Development.

The two are close friends along with George Peters of JWT.

Chris Parker knows his stuff pretty good. I have purchased a few things from SR20 as well as had my tranny for my Turbo SE-R. Especially helpful if you a So-Cal person.

Well mine runs strong and i took it apart and it apeared to only have about 10,000 or so on it so i put it in and well 6 months of hard driving say it all Like the Energizer bunny its still going!!!!!!!!!!!

Well here is the scoop "Dope" i was not on the forum at that time so i could not hold your hand and lead you though life and as far as needing a second opinion to decide how many miles a motor has on it I am an ASE CERTIFIED MASTER MECHANIC with 20yrs experiance what do you have?And as i stated i disassembled the motor and inspected the bearings and measured the clearances and it showed no wear so you just go out and look at your nice looking broke and nice looking new motor and pray to the engine gods that you have a good one. PERSONALLY I KNOW I HAVE A GOOD ONE!!!!!!!! Don't be such a smart-ass unless you know the credintials of the person you are trying to flame they just may know a little more than you!! As this has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt!!

Stay away from K. Watanabe. I've heard some things that I've been sworn to secrecy about them (believe me, don't believe me I don't care - just warning).

Look at me i'm a master mechanic and i think i can tell how many miles are on a motor..... Your educated "GUESS" is as good as the non-english speaking people you got your damn motor from...after all its still a GUESS and there is no way to tell how many miles are on a motor by looking at it.....so don't try to be all professional and be an ass about it i was just making a point that there is no fucking way to tell that a motor has 10,000 or so miles on it...fuck you might as well of said it has 1 mile on it or so. i'm just saying don't spout out stupid numbers and then try to back it up with your "experience". all i know you could work at pep boyz and we all know what great reputation they have or maybe you do alignments on my car at some point. just cause you ASE certified doesn't mean you can assume how many miles are on a motor cause you know what assuming does. Heres what you know...one you got a good condition motor congrads, and two you know that you don't have any FUCKING clue how many miles are on it...so flame your fucking self and set the building on fire....:rolleyes: :flipa: :flipa: :D

Wow dude! These certificates don't mean much. Abuddy of mine works at a honda dealership works with many guys who have these certificates and some of the stories he tells me are pretty bad. Working at a shop or dealership doesn't automatically give you power and knowledge about cars. It just says you're better(to unknowing people) than some grease monkey working out of his garage. Get off your high horse and shut the fuck up. Oh yea another thing, you work on gm vehicles. Something tells me Nissan couls probably make a longer lasting motor than gm so using knowledge from those crapilly built motors and applying it to a good quality nisan motor probably won't work too well.

What do you want us to say about all your paper certs? Paper means nothing here. Maybe we will start to respect you more when you can come in here and help with good, quality information, rather than try and flaunt your almighty certs.
