I bought a new motor for my civic last week (D16Z6). which the motor had a auto plate and i switched it to manual. did i do it right?

after i got done swaping the motor and crank it. the engine turns but wont stay running. did i do sumthing wrong? its my first time swaping motor on honda. me newbie:biggrin:. i cranked it like couple times then engine just died, wouldnt start.

after that, i crank it, all i hear is the starter running. did i really mess up?:confused:
