I just bought a 98 Century for $2,000. Looks in GREAT condition. Test drove it, seems perfect. 191,000k forest green.

Is there anything I should know about this car. It's sure a step up from my 89 dodge spirit!

I am on my 3rd one all died at about 500,000 k.

Bearings go at about 150-200 k
Signal switch at about 350 k
Brakes about every 80 k.
I never had an engine quit yet.
If the trany oil is still clean change it every 50k if not leave it alone.
Watch for loss of coolant.

These cars last a long time if you do general maintanence

OH YEA change the oil every 5 k or less.

Cheers

Awesome cars, Engine is good and strong, but after 120,000k replace pully tensionar, water pump, and ac compressor clutch to improve mpg:licka:

yep nice ride and not any probs here, did just replace bushings at 165000 miles, no leaks at it has been treated good, we warm it up till the needle moves every time and I'm sure to get many more miles, strong ride don't pull anything with it and keep like a bookworm on the Manual:smokin:
