2003 escalade brake problematherts 08-05-2009, 11:49 AM I have 2003 escalade esv when I press on the brake pedel it is very hard to push. I thought at first it was me so I took it down the road went to slow down and I had to put alot into it just to get the truck to slow down make the turn. Just feels like a car with no power brakes. Does anybody have any ideas to check? Airjer_ 08-05-2009, 12:00 PM Hydro boost or vacuum boost? I can never remember. atherts 08-05-2009, 01:46 PM Is there a way to test that? maxwedge 08-05-2009, 08:21 PM The hydroboost has hydraulic lines to the brake unit, no way for a dyer to test this, I would get this to a mechanic or dealer, rather than obtain forum guesses on what's what, no? atherts 08-12-2009, 08:53 AM Well I had a dealer look at the truck last night they told me the booster was bad. So I bought a used booster and the line that goes to the power steering pump. Got home and started looking at how everything came apart. When I found a box behind the brake peddle.:banghead: It was a box for the navigation. I moved it and now I have brakes. Now has anyone replaced the hose that goes to the power steering pump? Will I have to bleed the booster if so How do I bleed the air out out? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
