Scan toolken_man_1 08-05-2009, 10:47 AM Can anyone point me into the right direction for a decent "engine capable" scan tool? I have trucks that range from GM's 1998-2008, and Fords that go from 2001-2005. All of them are 3/4 ton or larger. I'm having a few with ABS problems as well. Anyone that knows, I'd sure be grateful to know where to look. Thanks!! troy1 08-06-2009, 09:49 PM alex peppers ken_man_1 08-07-2009, 01:31 PM alex peppers Care to shed some light on this? I have no idea how your response is relevant to my question. 2000CAYukon 08-07-2009, 07:30 PM ken_man_1 08-10-2009, 08:55 AM I think he is referring to http://www.obd-2.com/index.html#home //2000CAYukon Ah, that makes a ton more sense. He mispelled the name (Alex Pepers). It's not saying that it can adjust timing on most of these engines tho. 2000CAYukon 08-11-2009, 03:47 PM Ah, that makes a ton more sense. If you look at http://www.obd-2.com/gmpida.htm It lists Camshaft Retard Degrees as one of the Real Time Data variable and this is the one you need to set the timing on L31 Vortec Engines. //2000CAYukon vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
