I am, I am new to this forumcesarnitro1 08-04-2009, 09:15 PM that I am friends with you from mexico, my English is not very good, I hope and I understand because it is very important for me to learn from their experience in the repair isuzu rodeo well I will let you know that my truck is a 2001 rodeo 4x4 v6 is 120k miles, I like a lot but I had some problems. 1 catalyst plugged 2 broken camshaft 3 tps reel in poor condition some photos http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/1483/054100581x.jpg (http://img197.imageshack.us/i/054100581x.jpg/) http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/8231/arenalesyeliot013.jpg (http://img207.imageshack.us/i/arenalesyeliot013.jpg/) http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/6476/arenalesyeliot011.jpg (http://img168.imageshack.us/i/arenalesyeliot011.jpg/) http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/1228/madera2009089.jpg (http://img168.imageshack.us/i/madera2009089.jpg/) my main problem now is that the check engine lights on and off when you arrive at 2000 RPM and feel a loss of power of 60 to 80 miles good here I am at your service, I live very close to el paso texas XR400R 08-12-2009, 07:30 AM I may not correctly understand the problem you describe. But if you are saying your CEL flashes some times, and then goes out, I had similar problem on an 'O1 Passport that is identical to your truck. A flashing CEL usually indicates major failure of some system that can damage the emissions control system. With mine, the CEL flashed only on accelleration. When I let off the gas peddle, the light went out. Since these trucks are drive-by-wire, that indicates a failing throttle position sensor or throttle body (big $ to replace). To avoid replacing those, I opened up the white plastic circuit board cover on the right side of the throttle position sensor on the throttle body & cleaned the circuit board good. That cut the flashing CEL issue down from every time I hit the accellerator, to only happening once every 4-5 months or so. I just drive it like that till the tps fails completely then replace it. Runs fine, so far. Here's a link to a great post on Planet Isuzu by a sharp guy who had same problem, did same thing, got same result (with pics!): http://forum.planetisuzoo.com/viewtopic.php?t=14604&highlight=throttle+position+sensor cesarnitro1 08-12-2009, 06:40 PM I may not correctly understand the problem you describe.
