A possible good deal for a 1999, 25ft camper is in my future, dry wt is about 4100 lbs. With the issues I've heard about the auto trans in the 02 (I've had no trouble yet), is it a good idea to tow a camper with? I wouldn't try crossing country with it, just local mostly. My 91 Exploder pulled a heavier camper from South Carolina to Kansas but it was a manual trans and didn't like it much but that was for a move. I have always figured I'd baby this trans for life but then this deal came up.

Does it have a factory towing package? If not, have a transmission cooler installed. You should be OK.
