Fan switch

On a 2001 Tahoe,any idea as to why the fan speed control switch only runs on the high speeds 3-4,but not low speeds 1-2.

if you have manual controlled a/c....not automatic control...the blower resistor assy is defective..this is in the air box next to the blower motor under the glove box...

you have air filters in this area ,,,,have you changed them ,,,best do this as resticted air flow causes these componets to overheat...
