2001 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 5.3L Problemsjustbergone 07-27-2009, 08:42 PM My Tahoe has about 143,000 miles on it and hasn't had until problems until last week. The A/C started drawing a lot from the engine, the engine randomly loses power and refuses to accelerate even when the pedal is to the floor, the Security light is on, it shifts hard, it has stalled out on the highway, and idles rough. :banghead: I disconnected the battery overnight after all of these things popped up in an attempt to reset the computer, but the only result was an incorrect time on my clock. I have read that the throttle body needs cleaned out routinely but surely that couldn't be the cause of all these symptoms. Thanks for any help provided! Post back codes. When was the last good tune up or service history? Yes, the engine does seem to be losing power, but it has good days and bad days. Nothing is consistent. It is getting scanned Thurs. I'll post the codes as soon as I get them. Oil changes, filters, fluid flushes all are kept up on. Lately its been driven 3,000+ miles per month.
