hey guys...when is vtec suppose to kick in (at what RPM?) I have a base RSX.....Any1 know? Thankx

i think its around 5200rpms

it might even be in your manuel but sounds about right

u should be able to feel the difference, and change in engine sound, it should be a higher pitched sound

noise isn't as noticeable on the new iVTEC's. try to feel it. I wish they would have made vtec more noticeable on the new cars. Love that sound.

Can you use a V-afc controller on the new rsx's and si's ivtec to lower the engagement of vtec?

personally, love the sound/feel of VTEC also. (yes i kno its not as sweet as turbo, but its SOMETHING for us poor n/a folk). the type s still pulls like a mofo when it kicks tho...

an VTEC controllers will still work.
