4 wheel abs vs 2 wheel?

I was under the impression that 4 wheel ABS was the best to have, but the car dealer says that it is really not that necessary and that it is mostly just found on sportier cars. I want to buy a really safe car, so is is OK to go with one that only has 2 wheel ABS (front wheel drive)

I can't think of any car manufactured recently that has ABS on only 2 wheels. Its either all four or none.

Are you sure you aren't confusing ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) with AWD (All Wheel Drive)?

All wheel drive or four wheel drive is not a necessity but it can help if you live in areas with snow, ice, or muddy roads. For most people front wheel drive will get you where you need to go.

Having a four wheel drive or all wheel drive option with a rear wheel drive vehicle, like a pickup/suv, is nice when you get those winter storms or you head out on the ice for a little fishing or you need to get down the muddy road to the cabin but for most people its still not a necessity.
