Tempeture Gauge in 83 S-10 2.8Bobandbadger 07-20-2009, 10:55 PM Tempeture gauge does not work on truck would the temp sensor be the culprit not really sure And where would it be located . Syke lone 07-21-2009, 11:28 PM Hey, The temp sensor should be right up near the thermostat housing. I doubt it is the sensor though but maybe the connection. I have had to repair that plug on more than one 2.8L I noticed you posted a lot of problems with this 2.8's dash, did it all happen at once? Bobandbadger 07-22-2009, 12:02 AM yes it seems everything happens at once i guess but i love this truck i will check connection Thanks Bob Syke lone 07-22-2009, 04:35 AM Did anything happen to it or did you just come out one day and it's out? I have had to replace a dash cluster on a 85 because the printed film that had the wire printed on it (like a circuit board) was shot. I was getting flickering gauges, no dash lights, sometimes, out of nowhere the dash lights would just come one. Just a thought. Bobandbadger 07-22-2009, 09:02 AM it has never worked since i have owned truck. i have only owned truck for about a month. i am just trying to figure it out i have looked at wires , fuses i am stumped.. Syke lone 07-23-2009, 01:44 AM It's hard to say what it could be. But the dash cluster itself is a possibility. It is not too awful hard to take out to inspect. Bobandbadger 07-25-2009, 09:25 AM I cleaned connections and bought a new sending switch it works fine now thanks for help Syke. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
