97 acura 3.0CL check engine lightsilveragemarvel 07-16-2009, 06:13 PM I do not have an obd scanner tool. Several months ago the speedometer stopped working, after some online research I replaced the faulty vehicle speed sensor which fixed the problem. I need a way to reset the engine check light. Is there a procedure that does not require the obd tool? Thank you. :smokin: BullShifter 10-05-2009, 09:31 PM You can try disconnecting the negative battery cable for a few minutes. It's been so long since I've been without a scanner I don't know which cars reset by disconnecting the battery any more. silveragemarvel 10-06-2009, 05:33 PM Hey Bullshifter: I thought about disconnecting the battery cable but didn't want to have to deal with re-entering the code for the stereo head unit. I eventually got an obd scanner and got rid of the light. Thank you. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
