So .... Finally!
2.5 Weeks _ from a Peugeot 908 HDI FAP to a Lola-Aston Martin B09/60, aka Aston Martin DBR1-2.

This is the final stage....

Got the body looking more or less ok, reworked the wheel arches as they were too big in the rear and had to remove some material above the front axle holders in order to be able to mount a body on my slot car chassis.
Air brushed the Aston/Gulf Blue and masked off and sprayed on the Orange (Thanks to Hiroboys ZERO Paints).... The dark blue separation lines (btw. Blu & Or) were cut out from a plain blue decal sheet, the Gulf and Michelin decals are left overs from some old projects. The front lip, side air boxes and the side sills I covered with carbon decal so "All" I have to do now, is add windows, build an interior, marry the body to the chassis make a spoiler with Holders, ......

Nice conversion, amazing work to take it from a Peugoet to Aston.
I hate to be the one to tell you, but i think someone is releasing an Aston DBR1 this year.

UPDATE-
I put on a fresh clear coat and now Lilly is looking real slick!
Have to carbonize the rear wing , and marry the body to the chassis and then
add all the stuff I always add and nobody (read- slot racer ;-) really needs ;-)

So what scale is that? is it a slot car? looks damn good, great work

The scale is 1/24. They race really nice 1/24 slotcars. With a bit of search you can buy most of the stuff they produce!!! As the Scale Production Murcielago kit is really hard to find you can also find a nice race body. Slotcar races also make quite a lot of nice decals for other versions of the race cars which aren't a option with the normal kits.
I can built like 40 to 50 different GT1 cars which I normally couldn't :lol2::grinyes:

I have noticed some slotcar bashing here, but don't. It might not be your everyday displaymodels, but they make awesome additions!!! and some Really Worth Named Car Modeling!

So I finally got the decals done and put some front and rear lights in..... It even has flaming exhaust pipes ;-)
