Here's a good site that has a tire size calculator:

http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

Or you could do it the old fashioned way. 235/75R15 means that the tire is for a 15" rim, and the height of the sidewall is 75% of the 235mm treadwidth, or 176.25mm. Multiply by 2 for both sidewalls makes 352.5mm. Convert mm to cm to inches: 352.5mm = 35.25cm / 2.54 = 13.87 inches, added to your 15" wheel makes 28.87 inches high for this tire.

See also this thread (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=387657) here at AF for discussion on what tires will fit without modification.

You can compare many brands of tires at www.tirerack.com
