Long awaited return: 2010 Camarowhite97ex 06-11-2009, 11:21 AM Well are those cheers I hear? Boo's? Its been some time since I've had an active WIP here on the forums. So I guess this is long awaited for both the Camaro and myself. Some of the older forum members will probably remember my ambitious builds of the 1/12th scale pro-touring camaro and mustang that haven't seen the light of day in almost 2 years and are dieing to be finished. As well as my conversion of the fox body coupe, which I promise you will see progress on shortly. I will try and get some pictures of this up later, just wanted to get a thread going. This build is for a friend of mine. His girlfriend really wants a 2010 Camaro, so he asked me to build a model for her b-day. I picked up the Revell snap-tite kit at Hobby Lobby a couple of days ago. It will pretty much be build stock with minor details. The only major change that I've made is by removing the gas cap from the concept, filling the hole and moving the door to the correct position on the passenger side. I did this by taking an appropriate size piece of aluminum tubing, sharpening the edge with an x-acto knive and slowly working it into the plastic for the panel line. Aside from that, the panel lines on the body were opened up a bit so they didn't disappear and it will be shot with black and cleared with Omni.
