Not sure why you say a 56. Spend some time searching the gallery for the different year models. It is pretty certainly a 55 - 67 - the split windshield provides the upper limit. From my limited research it appears that a split bumper was used at least until 59. But the mirrors are a little tricky. Lots of round mirrors those early years. Ovals in 60. These are teardropped, which may be even later. The problem is I don't know these well enough, and without a serious restoration, there could be a lot of mix and match. So best I think you can say is 60 to 67. But you could do better if you spent some time on it. Franco2112 06-11-2009, 03:23 PM That's a much better picture! It's a single cab. Production of the Transporter started in 1949, but i believe they where year 1950 marked. Could be wrong, but i think i'm pretty close.
