Hey i just got a paintjob on my mitsubishi and im going to be needing to drive it down to florida in a few days, i was wondering is there anything i can do to help protect it more then just stopping every few hours and whiping it down with a cloth?

Here is the best steps.

Drive at a distance of 3 seconds from the closest car in front of you.
If you can't follow that rule then drive 60 mph and keep as much distance as possible.

When you wipe down, don't use cleaners or quik detailer. Just use water.

At this stage the clearcoat still has quiet a bit of solvent it needs to release, so while it is inside the clear, it is making the clear soft. Here are things to accelerate the solvent curing.... HEAT. Park it outside, it will cure twice as fast. What clearcoat did the painter use?
