so its summertime again and we decided to take a trip to the beach. what we have started to notice is that it takes about 10 minutes of driving at highway speeds for the air to get cool. if we dont get any faster than 55 - 60 it nevr reall gets cold. i was going to charge it but it is at ful pressure already. any ideas?

Might be a weak clutch fan. At idle pressure will be higher than normal because of low air flow through condenser.

ill check on the fan. it doesnt ever run anything even remotely close to hot, even idleing on hot hot days though. (not sure if that would make a difference with he AC or not)
i noticed this afternoon that i hear the compressor ''decompressing'' quite often while driving. it the sound i would normally associate with turning the truck of after runnung the AC hard on a hot day. kind of a releasing of pressure. but like i said i am pretty sure nothing is lelaking because the pressure from the port reads where it should.
