Ok my 1995 ford contour is having its first problem, it has over 197k miles now. The car is a 2.0l 5-speed. When im driving after about 10-15 mins when i left off the gas it jerks a little bit it has worsened in the last 2 days. I took the fuel filter off and blew it out cause im broke right now. When i get payed im def going to give it a oil change and tune up. The car also seems to be getting hot now to as before i could go over 200 miles and it would stay average? anyone have a clue what this could be i also put a bottle of injector cleaner in my tank. If anyone has had this problem and fixed it and could lead me in the right directiong so i dont have to dump a fortune into it, it would be greatly appreciated Thx!.

Just a quick note. We try and discourage members from posting their emails here for a variety of reasons. First off it is open to anybody and you could end up with unwanted emails. Second and more important, this is a site where members post issues with their vehicles in an attempt to solve the problem. It is through postings by other members and an exchange of information that we can do this. This information also becomes a permanent part of the site for future members to view, especially if they should have the same issue and are looking for help. By asking members to email you their solutions you are effectively limiting that opportunity. Think of AF as a giant encyclopedia or shop manual if you will, and if you are looking for help on a subject and come across a thread like this with the same problem, but no answers( because the OP chose to limit the availability of info), how would you feel?
Also to members, if you post a problem and then find a solution, it can be very helpful to update your thread with this information as a courtesy to others in the future.
You can also subscribe to any thread here and get email updates when someone posts in that thread. That way you don't have to check in all the time looking to see if someone responded, because depending upon the complexity of the issue, it may take a few days for members to come up with an answer to help. Also many members, especially those that may be very knowledgeable about your model may not be on the site on a daily basis. By allowing a few days from your posting you have a better chance that they will see your post and reply with some help.

Edit: It also is a good idea to have any responses out in the openess of the forum as they can be subject to verification by others to prevent any bad info or advice from causing harm or damage. By trusting anybody to email you advice without making sure it's not faulty, you set yourself up for possibly more problems than when you started out with.
