1993 Ford Probe, no spark from distributorMydobie 05-30-2009, 12:31 PM My daughters probe died and was towed to the mechanic. He said we needed a new distributor. I had the car towed home and we finally replaced the distributor. It still will not start. There is voltage going to the distributor but nothing coming from the distributor. Any suggestions please. thisnametooktolong 05-31-2009, 04:39 AM there is voltage to the distrubutor? but none coming out? do yo mean 12 volts or high voltage? Mydobie 06-01-2009, 12:18 PM 11-12 volts thisnametooktolong 06-03-2009, 05:23 AM pickup/fuse/coil/ Mydobie 06-04-2009, 10:16 AM Well, we checked the timing belt, looks brand new and it is correctly positioned. We re-checked the distributor, made adjustments and still nothing. The coil is in the distributor which is new. I highly doubt we got a bad one, hope not as it is not a cheap part. Still no spark. I am going to pick up new plug wires and plugs today and pray it is that simple. Any other ideas? The engine turns over, the fuel pump appears to be functioning, yet when he pulled the plug wire to check for spark, nothing. Very confusing and frustrating.
