And it will not pass NYS inspection... The damage is directly in fromt of both rear wheels. My question is, does anyone know of an aftermarket supplier of frame pieces for this car? I would like to tr to repair this myself but would like to use new parts, not parts cut out of another rotton taurus. Car is still worth fixing and driving.

Go to www.directfordparts.com, put in Ford, 1998, Taurus. Select Rear Body and Floor then select Floor and Rails. You will see a diagram. You want the Side Rails, part 16 in the diagram. You have to contact them about availability and price. There's probably other places as well, google search on Ford Taurus Frame Parts.
