I'm actually posting this for a friend who has an 04 TDI Beetle with six speed tiptronic trans. He has a loud consistent pitch "squeal" in the first three gears and then it kinda winds down not sure what it could be it drives and shifts fine. Has anyone had this or a similar problem? I would appreciate any feedback Thanks Guys

Sounds like turbo whine. Turbo tend to whine when the bearing are wearing. Could also be an exhaust leak. A trip to the dealer is where i would start. Depending on mileage could still fall under warranty. Hope this helps.
