It takes two (My little Frankenstien)ydeardorff 05-23-2009, 07:58 PM I have bought two 1995 Geo metros for 600 bucks each. One has been in a crunch, the other had the tell tale dead center cylinder. Hence after lots, of parts swapping, I have a nice green Geo sitting in my driveway awaiting registration. I have replaced the following with either used parts of off the other Geo, or bough them new. engine 3 cylinder transmission 5 speed manual new clutch kit new drive axles new brake drums new brake shoes new brake rotors new brake pads new tie rod ends new torsion bar ends new lower control arms replaced the sealed beam headlights with larger composite ones replaced steel wheels with factory aluminum custom rims replaced gauge cluster new white faced gauges new double din in dash DVD player with gps and blue tooth, and back up camera new 4 speaker alpine speakers new 200 watt 8" bass tube new hand made rear parcel shelf Items to be incorporated into the car later as money/time permits: Key less entry system power door locks Power windows remote start silent paging alarm dash vents economy cam and advance gear window tint 35% front windows, 2% rear three windows remote hatch release transmission drive axle seals (awaiting pick up from the store) Bi Xenon HID conversion kit (payday) Having a spare Geo in the back yard for parts has been a god send. I highly recommend doing so if you have the space. One thing I m looking for, is a new dash board, mines very oxidized, looks bad, and am looking to replace it.
