98 Caravan 3.3l Flex Fuel Oil Pressure Switch Locationbferguson58 05-21-2009, 08:23 PM Can someone give me a good starting point of the location of the oil pressure switch on my 98 grand caravan 3.3l flex fuel. And also, if I can get my hands on a manual pressure gauge, do I use the same threaded hole as the electronic switch to check the pressure manually.:eek7: tempfixit 05-21-2009, 11:08 PM Look for the oil pressure sensor by the oil filter adapter. Not sure if the threads are the same, but I believe so. bferguson58 05-22-2009, 08:37 AM Thank you, I found it, now I need to get my hands on a manual pressure gauge. I am thinking its the pressure switch or sending unit though. When I first turned the ignition on this morning the idiot light didn't even come on at all. Then after trying it a few times it finally illuminated. tempfixit 05-22-2009, 11:34 AM Try harbor freight for a oil pressure tester, I believe I paid like 9 bucks for one but haven't used it yet. Do all other lights and gauges work when the oil pressure light does not come on at all?? Mext time the light doesn't come on try smacking the top of the dash and see if that helps. Could you posssibly have the instrument cluster bad solder problem??? bferguson58 05-25-2009, 12:38 PM When the light does come on it also comes with an annoying chime. So it seems to be in alarm state, but I guess it could be the dashboard. I bought a new pressure switch, now the problem I have is getting the electrical connector off the old one, its kicking my butt.:screwy: jolleyi 05-28-2011, 10:49 AM did you ever get the connector off? Mine is leaking and I need to replace but same problem how to remove connector? Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
