93 Lumina ABS Lightrebelvance 05-17-2009, 11:05 AM Put new pads and brake lines on. Brakes work great, but light comes on after car starts moving???? Is this one of the wheel sensors?:screwy: Blue Bowtie 05-17-2009, 12:45 PM Most likely one of the sensors is not signaling. Check the connections and clean the sensor faces if they are accessible. rebelvance 05-17-2009, 09:23 PM Thanks for the reply.I did an ohm reading on the wheel sensors and this is what i got; LF:0 ohms, RF:1736 ohms, LR:2154 ohms, RR:2138ohms. I think it would be safe to say that the left front is the problem. I'll get a new one tommorrow from GM. I'm curious as to what the new one will read? Any way, Thanks for confirming what i suspected.:loser: maxwedge 05-18-2009, 09:23 AM Should be around 1200 ohms at the sensor. Any way, Thanks for confirming what i suspected.:loser: WHERE did you connect the ohmmeter? At the sensor; or in the wiring harness somewhere? When my '92 had the ABS light on, the harness itself was the problem--the sensor was OK, but one of the two wires was broken very close to the sensor connector. I had to splice in a $24 harness section to fix the problem. rebelvance 05-25-2009, 08:37 AM Maxwedge was right, new one ohmed out @ 1214. These were checked @ the sensor. I put the new one on and the light is out. I don't know what's up with the back ones reading so high. Coils in them may be getting weak? If i understand this system correctly, it operates much the same as a stator on a mower, generating electricity. At a lower voltage! At any rate, the car seems to being doing fine and the young lady that it belongs to is happy with it. Thanks agian for the replies! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
