I replaced all the 4 struts(monroe) and rear strut mounts 2 weeks back and today while driving home I heard a heavy noise from rear right and I noticed that strut is fully compressed down and hitting the corner of car and not moving up or down at all. Is this the bad strut that I got or what can be the possible issue?

Thanks

guess so... is there an oily residue, showing that the seal had leaked the oil out of that strut?

hope you have your receipt for a warranty replacement... and the shop will have to r & r and align the car again under warranty

bring it back to the shop ASAP!

Possibly the rod end nut was (?) loose, now is gone; take rear seat out and check the mount. Whatever, it has to be taken out for inspection.
