New problem and don't know where to start looking.

I moved the drivers seat all the way back for me and the wife went to get in it 2 days later in the 02 and it wouldn't move forward.

The seat bottom moves up and down, the lumbar works, the seat back moves back and forth. I just cant get the seat to move forward and just here a clicking sound when I hit the switch to move it forward.

So would someone please tell me where to start looking. Thanks.

I'm having a very similar issue with my passenger seat that won't move backwards in my '03. I'm thinking it must be the switch in the door panel.

I checked ot out, and my problem was the switch.

Carefully put a flat head screwdriver between the button console and the armrest on the front of the console.
Press down and gently pry the front up. Once it's free, move it forward and the entire assembly will come out.

I did the same thing on the driver side, and removed the wires from the console. I hooked it up on the passenger side, and presto! It worked fine.

I then took the switch assembly out of the passenger side console for inspection.

The switch has several flat pieces of copper with points on the top and bottom.
The buttons contact small plastic spring loaded pegs. My suspect button would open the contact partially when depressed, but not enough to close the other side.

I gently pried up on the flat piece of copper where the peg makes contact, to bend it enough to raise the point of contact.

It works like a charm, and it didn't cost a penny.
