1995 Jetta VR6 won't start.. HELP!!!Blu555fire 05-05-2009, 12:52 AM I have a 95' Jetta. 2.8L. 150,000 miles. I recently installed a new starter/solenoid, alternator, battery, and ignition switch. It was doing OK until I parked it for about a month and a half. I got back in it to drive and get nothing. No clicks. All my accessories, dash lights, and power windows work. When i turn the key to start the lights slightly dim so i am guessing that the started is getting power to it. Any help is appreciated. Thanx Franco2112 05-05-2009, 10:53 AM Your battery may have enough power for your accessories, but not to crank over your engine. Your battery must have sufficient cranking amps to start the car. I would try a battery change out first, even if the battery is fairly new. Franco Blu555fire 05-06-2009, 05:10 PM OK.. I have tried the battery swap and still nothing. Maybe a relay is bad???? Franco2112 05-06-2009, 06:11 PM Great, you should have plenty of power. Did you go back over the other items that you recently replaced? Ignition switch, starter/solenoid, alternator. A faulty ignition switch could give you this problem or your connection may have come loose. Franco Blu555fire 05-07-2009, 06:56 PM Yea my starter is getting power, alternator is good too... i think its a bad connection somewhere.. ill have to get the ignition and all the connections checked out..
