Hi Guys ~ Remember my Evolution VII ? Well... tomorrow gonna get some primer.... meanwhile... trying to design the woofers in my evolution VII...

seriously speaking, you should stick to the old thread rather than open a brand new thread. Members here will having a hard time to trace back your old progress...not very good.:( Btw, where's the woofer you design????:confused: I can't see the pict

Have tried to work out this one... Got ideas from my unwanted F1 rims.
Now still figuring where to put... might put in the back seats and paint the woofer's background yellow... just like the last photo of my references. What do you guys think?

Oh i had deleted my previous post as i think it's too untidy and too many photos. AS i choose the rims because that will use as a protector for my woofer just like the first reference pics. As the photo you quote, that may not be neccessary for that design as i might put that at back seats and use putty to make a design board for my woofers and NOS~

nooo wasted a pair of rims !!

just use some styrene and milliput or 2 part epoxy and custom sculpt it. it will be easier.

i never really like woofers or bass....

hm.... its a good idea, but are u gonna leave them as is? if he didnt want the rims, why couldnt he use them for this guys? it seems like a good idea, only if he puttys them up a bit to look like real subs ;)

Finally get some putty here.... gonna strip of the back seats of the Evo and make a small "party" down there...

That's why i don't understand :rolleyes: Thought it is right size... That's what i measure from the real thing and flip through some magazines....

The size is actually OK if you are thinking of 18's or 15's if you consider an 18 would be the same size as one of the wheels we use plus the rubber surround, plus the frame making an 18 approx 19inches in diameter. I had 2x12's in a Nissan a few years back and had to box in the entire boot and lose the spare, so go for it, be pretty cool.

Btw seriously, it is not that big i guess... because i have seen before bigger woofers on cars/vans and it does not looks so strange... :D

But aiming the driver???
i mean if its big, it has to be loud and who would aim it to the internal of the car...
most would open the boot and play it ... mean for those car shows... or maybe slightly softer for driving...
Damn... Loud music = Dangerous and reckless driving...

Yeah...understand the feeling when i am sitting in my friend's dad car, the woofer is beating my back!!!:D

The worst bit's the rear view and wing mirrors vibrating, kinda makes you sick after a while, not to mention the throttle peddle every time you ease off slightly

You know what. I know the 5 owners of the Porsche 911GT3, seriously you can ignore it. No big deal by know the someone who drive a special cars. Synergyx, I got another idea to do a super woofer, I know you always went to Hobby Point to buy models, check those booster part from Wave, It alot more easy to convert it.:D

I prefer MUSIC from the engines......exhausts.......blow-off valves.....etc...dun care a damn about big woofers etc....

I did ask him how did he know i have friends who drives sport cars... but no reply..some of them ask me to post some photos. I thought they are in interest of the photos so i post it. Anyway since when did i post

I went there not more than 4 times, your shop not more than 3 times, most of my models got it from Tony from Tai Seng and some friends who help me to import.

For the woofer.. do post some progress pics!~ :rolleyes:

It almost doesn't matter (almost!) which way you point the subwoofers as bass is transmitted mostly through vibration, not direct airwaves. So go for it, looks c:cool::cool:l!
