Bugatti EB110 GT, Heller, 1/24Nosfer 04-27-2009, 06:06 PM Here is my new project! Actually, heller kit has s lot of mistaces. So i'll try to fix it in this model So, I hope it will be interesting to AF users. Lets start! http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160052.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160055.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160054.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160056.jpg BVC500 04-27-2009, 06:35 PM Good luck! I've always liked this car, but the kit scared me. Its like the Monogram Lotus Esprit...too many mistakes and fitment problems. Ferrari TR 04-27-2009, 06:52 PM Do you have a picture of the box? I'm wondering how this differs from the regular 'bug'. klutz_100 04-27-2009, 11:44 PM Good luck! I've always liked this car, but the kit scared me. Its like the Monogram Lotus Esprit...too many mistakes and fitment problems. me too :D Lownslow 04-28-2009, 12:02 AM dammit and i have one of these, oh well im up for a challenge Nosfer 04-28-2009, 03:55 AM Here is the box. http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160057.jpg I heared, that Monogram made EB110 too, and that kit mutch better than this. drunken monkey 04-28-2009, 08:09 AM The Heller kit is also available as an Airfix rebox (or the Heller may be the re-box...). http://www.geocities.jp/d_force_net/Car/AIRFIX/06420.JPG The previously mentioned Monogram kit is the same kit as the Revell kit There is a very brief comparison here (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=695688&highlight=bugatti) made while both were still being built. I've since more or less (kinda, sorta) finished the grey (Revell/Monogram) one. I can get some better comparison pictures up if anyone's interested. Ferrari TR 04-28-2009, 02:48 PM Thanks. I thought there was a GT version from your heading. Looks like Bugatti had all the kit companys mold the body in blue and had them put just blue cars on the boxes too. drunken monkey 04-28-2009, 03:37 PM Thanks. I thought there was a GT version from your heading. ahhh, I get what you're saying now. Actually, the heading is correct. The kits are all GT versions of the car; the other version is the SS that you were thinking of. AustinMartin 04-28-2009, 04:55 PM So far it looks great! Tervo 04-30-2009, 01:48 AM And I thought that the Revellogram Bugatti was awful! Had to take a break from it, just for the sake of my mental wellfare. Hope you will not give up. Very promising indicators for the rest of this project  :D jano11 05-05-2009, 08:32 AM This looks like a great project! :) I'm looking forward seeing how it unfolds. drunken monkey 05-05-2009, 09:21 AM the hardest thing to replicate about these cars, is the metal grill that is in the tail-lights. Nosfer 05-05-2009, 02:37 PM the hardest thing to replicate about these cars, is the metal grill that is in the tail-lights. I'm also don't know how to make it :banghead: jano11 05-05-2009, 04:20 PM Photo etched parts looks to be the only realistic solution. drunken monkey 05-07-2009, 08:45 AM It's probably too small for photoetch. If you take a look at the kit's rear light lens, the etched lines are a good match for the real grill and is in all likelihood, over-scaled. I can't see any way to make any sort of facsimile of the metal grill using any medium. I toyed with the ideal of deepening the etches in the plastic and flowing thinned paint into it but my hands ain't built for that sort of precision. jano11 05-07-2009, 08:59 AM In this case the only solution is to contact Intel and ask them to use their micro technology to lay down the pattern in those rear light lenses! :D Seriously, what is the smallest detail dimension that can be obtain through etching process using the thinnest available metal sheet (or foil)? Nosfer 05-07-2009, 04:12 PM I think, that the best and the easyest way is NOT making this grills at all :):) jano11 05-07-2009, 06:56 PM Excellent solution! drunken monkey 05-07-2009, 08:19 PM I think, that the best and the easyest way is NOT making this grills at all :):) actually, I would say the best thing to do may be to deepen the light fitment area, cut out a piece of clear acetate to fit perfectly, paint in the colour onto the acetate and fix the kit clear part over the acetate making sure that the two don't touch. If that makes any sense.... What I mean is, make a little noticable gap between the coloured lights and the kit clear light part. After all, the kit part represents the outer cowling and not the lights themselves. papa_ya 05-08-2009, 11:03 AM а мне кажется сотит чулок натянуть..сетка как раз будет масштабная=) Nosfer 05-11-2009, 03:49 PM interesting alikeness http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/autowpru_bugatti_eb110_gt_8.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/FantomasGoy.jpg :D :D :D :D :D :D Nosfer 05-17-2009, 12:03 PM Little progress at last! http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160108.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160109.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160106.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160105.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160107.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160110.jpg Nosfer 05-24-2009, 01:51 PM http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160126.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160129.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160135.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160136.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160137.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160139.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160140.jpg jano11 05-24-2009, 04:23 PM Looks like it's moving in the right direction! Nosfer 05-31-2009, 01:33 PM Some progress in front lights http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160141.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160142.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160143.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160144.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160146.jpg Nosfer 06-02-2009, 06:52 AM paintwork... http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160148.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160149.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160150.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160152.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160153.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160154.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr270/Misha_Nosferatu/P1160157.jpg denilsonvm 06-02-2009, 08:48 AM Nice job!
