I came home from work one day and my car was running good.:icon16: then i went to start it later that day and it wouldn't turn over:rolleyes: so i popped the hood and the only noise is one silent click when I turn the key that is coming from the fuse block under the hood but i checked the fuse and its good. I also checked the battery and its good. So I tried turning everything on in the car and tried to start and no dimming of lights or anything. Then I had the key to the starting position and wiggled the shifter (automatic) still nothing:uhoh:. I'm wondering if it could be btsi circuit or shift lever solenoid.:eek7: please help me with anything you might have in mind?

Security light flashing?
well the security light comes on with all my other dash lights but all the other ones go off after 5 or 10 sec. or so except the "check gauges" and "security" lights stay on but they don't flash.

The clicking noise is coming from a relay, not a fuse. Find out which relay it is exactly that is making the noise, I'm thinking that your vehicle may have a starter relay before sending power to the solenoid at the starter, if the contacts in the starter relay are bad you will here the click but it won't get a connection and won't send power to the solenoid. Also are you sure that the click sound you hear isn't from the starter solenoid at the starter instead?

I'm with CT, it might be the started solenoid. Mine did that, so I had to replace the starter. They can work fine one minute, and completely crap out without any signs the next.
